Welcome...
I am a Zimbabwean-born African wildlife artist. African wild animals are my inspiration, and my material is gleaned from the wonderful game parks and sanctuaries in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, where we are still lucky enough to see African wildlife in its natural surroundings. I like to offer a different aspect of wildlife art and get as close as I can, in every way, to each animal I paint... sometimes an aspect is all that's needed to capture the soul of the subject.
I am also passionate about horses and equine art, and love taking on human portraiture whenever I have the chance. Commissions I have done include portraits of children, horses and other pets, and I have sold work in Southern Africa, the UK and USA.
The Technical Stuff...
My paintings are oil on canvas for the most part, although I enjoy working in pastels from time to time. All original oil paintings are on stretched, deep-edged (4cm) canvas and sizes are shown for each painting. Paintings can be taken off the stretches for shipping if required, or, in the case of commissions, can be painted directly onto an unstretched canvas sheet.
While most of the work shown here in the galleries has been sold, new work will continue to be added. Prices that are shown do not include shipping costs, but quotes can easily be done for these if required. Commissions are welcome and I would be happy to discuss your ideas with you.
Signed, Limited Edition prints are available to order of some of the work shown here. These individually signed and numbered giclee prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity and are printed on 75 year guaranteed archival canvas or high quality photographic paper. Trying to imagine how a painting will look in your home or office can often be quite difficult. To make that easier, I am happy to come and photograph the particular space in your home or office and then digitally drop an image of a painting into that photo so that you can see what the painting would look like in situ. Alternatively, you are welcome to email me a photograph of the space and I will work with that.
